Opus Colorado offers two programs:


  • Performance Certificate (single term) 
  • Artist Diploma (two terms) 


Both are designed for advanced musicians preparing for professional-level performance.


A term is a focused training period typically completed over approximately 20 weeks.


Students may complete the program on an accelerated timeline (as few as ~12 weeks) or extend slightly depending on scheduling and progress, in coordination with faculty.


All instruction is delivered online through a combination of:


  • live lessons 
  • structured video feedback 
  • performance-based assignments 


This model allows for consistent, high-level feedback while maintaining flexibility.


Opus Colorado is designed for:


  • advanced high school musicians 
  • current conservatory or university students 
  • emerging professionals 
  • working professionals seeking focused development 


Admission is selective and based on audition review.


Yes. Enrollment is offered year-round, pending faculty availability.

Many students choose to begin during the summer for a concentrated training period.


Applicants must submit:


  • a video audition (approximately 10 minutes, 2–3 contrasting works) 
  • a musical résumé 
  • one letter of recommendation 


Admission is competitive and based on faculty evaluation.


  • Performance Certificate: $17,990 (single term)
  • Artist Diploma: $35,980 (two terms) 


Limited merit-based scholarships are awarded to exceptional applicants based on audition strength.

Opus Colorado integrates three core areas of training:


  • Music — Advanced performance training 
  • Mind — Mental-performance conditioning 
  • Movement — Strength and injury prevention 


This focused model is designed to prepare musicians for auditions, competitions, and professional performance at a high level.


Opus Colorado College of Music is a state-authorized institution, approved by the Colorado Department of Higher Education to operate as a private college.


While Opus Colorado does not currently hold national or regional accreditation, the college operates under state oversight and maintains all required academic, administrative, and operational standards.

Important Information about Transcript and Certificate Holds

In accordance with Colorado HB22-1049, Opus Colorado College of Music may apply a financial hold on transcripts, diplomas, or certificates if an individual has outstanding tuition or other fee balances. Exemptions allowing release of these documents are available for job applications, college transfers, financial aid applications, and military or postsecondary opportunities.
